Carisma was founded in Torino, Italy, in 1975 by brother and sister, Savina and Luigi Viano, who continue to head the company. It is a member ofAssICC (Italian Chemical Trade Association) and cooperates in the Responsible Care programme.
Carisma imports, exports and distributes recovered solvents, glycols and liquid chemical products in bulk, and is a European leader in the marketing of stripping compounds and bituminous primers.
In the 1970s it was one of the first companies in Italy to market recovered solvents, disseminating the practice of environment-friendly recovery of used solvents and correct re-usage methods.
